We are looking for a Chef to join our BUX team based in Amsterdam.

Step into a unique culinary role with BUX, where you’ll work as part of a highly supportive team that balances professionalism with fun. You’ll be part of The People’s Team alongside a dedicated head chef and a junior kitchen assistant, with plenty of room to contribute your ideas and talents. As part of our kitchen team, you’ll prepare and serve fresh, nutritious lunches for 60-150 colleagues from Monday to Thursday in a fast-paced, collaborative setting. Creativity and efficiency are essential, and we welcome both as you prepare meals. Work hours are flexible and open to discussion, with 8-hour shifts daily.

What you will do

In collaboration with the Kitchen team, you're expected to: 

• Craft Nutritious Meals: Prepare and serve daily lunches for BUX employees, keeping them fueled and happy.
• Event Catering: Handle catering needs for regular in-house events, bringing variety and creativity to the table.
• Manage Kitchen Operations: Oversee stock taking, grocery ordering, and cleanup, ensuring an organized, clean workspace.
• Health & Safety Compliance: Maintain food safety standards, ensuring a safe kitchen environment.

The requirements

• Availability for 8-hour shifts daily/4 days weekly
• Proven skills in preparing meals for large groups are essential
• Ability to manage kitchen workflow, inventory, and costs efficiently
• Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team
• Able to work comfortably in an English-speaking environment
• While not required, menu creativity is a valued skill
