We are looking for a C++ Developer to join our Stryk team based in London. We are a young, ambitious and diverse team with front desks in London and Cyprus. You’ll work within a small risk team with constant interaction with the trading desk and you’ll have the opportunity to work alongside business intelligence, finance and compliance teams to get broader exposure to the financial services industry.

What you will do

You will take a central role in leading the development of applications to manage the firm’s exposure to wide-ranging financial risks. Working closely with the head of risk and front desks, you will gain exposure to varied projects contributing to overall profitability. You will take ownership of our proprietary Qt C++ market risk model, developing its efficiency as you see fit along with contributing to the overall risk strategy. Furthermore, you will help in building and maintaining our in-house credit risk model, giving you exposure to quant strategies and risk management solutions.

Responsibilities can include, but are not limited to:

• Collaborating with Traders and Risk Managers to deliver tailored software solutions
• Designing and constructing large-scale analytical libraries which will be used to improve financial risk management
• Developing code to help evaluate risks covering large datasets in the market, credit, liquidity and counterparty credit risk
• Building tools and applications to support research, reporting, and systematic and non-systematic trading strategies

What you need to succeed

• 3+ years of experience using modern C++ (14/17/21)
• 2+ years transact-SQL, SQL Server
• Bloomberg API
• Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills
• Additional scripting language e.g. VBA/Python is a plus
• Prior experience using QT Creator v5/v6, GIT version control and any DBA experience will be seen as advantageous
